Dear Honorable Profesors, Colleagues, and Participants

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 75th Continuing Orthopaedic Education, organized by the Central Java Chapter of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (PABOI) in the historic city of Surakarta.

This COE’s theme is, "Fighting Against Degeneration in Orthopaedics: From Basic to Sophisticated Innovations," highlights one of the most significant challenges in contemporary orthopaedic practice. As populations continue to age and life expectancy increases, degenerative musculoskeletal disorders have become a major cause of pain, disability, and reduced quality of life. At the same time, remarkable advances in diagnostics, surgical techniques, biologic therapies, regenerative medicine, and rehabilitation continue to transform the management of these conditions.

This event has been designed to provide a scientific forum where orthopaedic surgeons, healthcare professionals, researchers, and trainees can exchange knowledge, discuss emerging evidence, and share clinical experiences. We hope that the scientific sessions will stimulate meaningful discussions, encourage multidisciplinary collaboration, and promote evidence-based practices that ultimately improve patient care.

Through this meeting, we aim not only to disseminate the latest scientific knowledge but also to strengthen professional networks and inspire future collaborations among colleagues from across Indonesia.

75ᵗʰ Continuing Orthopaedic Education 2026

GREETINGS OF PRESIDENT OF INDONESIAN ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATION

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), we are delighted to announce the 75ᵗʰ Continuing Orthopaedic Education (COE) of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) to be held on November 19-21, 2026 in Alila Hotel, Solo, Central of Java.

The theme is, “Fighting Against Degeneration in Orthopaedics: From Basic Science to Sophisticated Innovations”. The scientific program of COE 2026 will feature keynote lectures, focused sessions, interactive discussions, and presentations showcasing current research, clinical practice, and technological developments.

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Solo, the famous, common nickname for the city of Surakarta in Central Java, Indonesia. It is a center for traditional Javanese arts and royal heritage. Alongside the scientific sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to experience Solo’s rich cultural heritage and to build meaningful professional and social connections.
